What LumeStrata is—and is not.

Is LumeStrata another documentation repository?

No. The core idea is to model durable Capabilities, Requirements, Decisions, Changes and Evidence as structured product knowledge. Documents can represent that knowledge, but they are not the central unit of truth.

Does it replace Jira, Azure DevOps or GitHub?

No. LumeStrata complements those systems. Work tracking, source control and code review remain in their systems of record; LumeStrata preserves their relationship to product intent.

How do AI agents use it?

The planned MCP surface provides semantic operations to resolve a project, find relevant Capabilities and retrieve bounded Current State, rationale and impact. Governed write operations remain subject to identity, authorization and human approval rules.

Is the product available today?

LumeStrata is in active development toward a controlled pilot. This site describes the approved product direction and intended value; it does not imply general availability.

Is the source code public?

No public source release has been announced. The source remains private while the pilot and long-term licensing model are evaluated.
